So... how did you do it?
Stunning photo!

From: Craig (d70jordanp) (Thu 02 Dec 2004 04:03:31 PM PST)
1. Got up very early
2. Waited
3. Put my target between me and the rising sun
4. Waited
5. Then let the motor drive do its thing when the action started.

If you check the properties I thin you will find this image was taken around 6am

Nice...
did you throw a rock to get them to take off?

From: Craig (d70jordanp) (Thu 02 Dec 2004 04:10:03 PM PST)
No that was the wave that crashed on the rocks - I just waited. I was shooting other nature shots between the action so I didn't get too sleepy

I know it wasn't allowed for this competition, but I would love to see this photo with some cropping from the top and left side and clone out the rest of the birds from the top.

Know exactly what you mean. It was very tempting. Might give it a go in the next couple of days and post it on the forum.
