Very nice shot! (and after haveing agonised over my choice of song, one of those song titles that makes you go 'of course!!')

From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:14:02 PM PDT)
Clever song choice, and well executed.

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:09:48 AM PDT)
Simple, elegant and tasty too. :)

From: bt*ist (istDSbtist) @ 203.14.180.97 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 12:04:00 AM PDT)
Has a nice sense of wistfulness about it.

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:10:55 AM PDT)
The young Bing perhaps :) I do like what you have done but i feel the camera is out of place.

BREADFAN - Metallica
From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:12:50 PM PDT)
This was good, but I'd have liked to see a human element or a OOF fan in the background. As at the moment its just Bread.

From: David Viviers (350ddviv) @ 203.30.93.16 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 11:32:52 PM PDT)
Thanks for the comment - I was trying to get across that the person taking the photo is the fan but seems I didn't quite get there :-)

Paint It Black - Rolling Stones
From: Simon Fallon (d70Manta) @ 152.91.9.8 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 04:10:03 PM PDT)
I really liked this one Steve. Simple, on theme and well executed.

From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:11:08 PM PDT)
Very clever and I liked the movement in the hand and brush.

From: bt*ist (istDSbtist) @ 203.14.180.97 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 12:04:59 AM PDT)
nice shot and cool idea! (do you still have the artwork?)

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:04:14 AM PDT)
I still have the artwork :)

At first I wanted to find a red door and paint it black. I couldn't locate one. I thought about painting my own front door red but I thought I had better not as I am renting.

I didn't completely get this one, Jakes had mismatched pants, and was he a cricketer ?

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:12:46 AM PDT)
I get it. :) I would have preferred to see a tighter composition. There's a kind of duelism (aka dualism) going on here.

Till the end of time - Perry Como 1945
From: bt*ist (istDSbtist) @ 203.14.180.97 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 03:40:06 PM PDT)
Very cool! (and, inevitably, the question : how did you do it!??)

From: Simon Fallon (d70Manta) @ 152.91.9.8 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 04:08:58 PM PDT)
That's a gorgeous piece Chris. And the watch isn't bad either.

From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:08:46 PM PDT)
At thumbnail level this looks impressive, it suffered a little at close expection. A bit rough around the edges compared to your usual standards Chris.

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:13:44 AM PDT)
Nice one Chris ;)

From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:04:26 PM PDT)
Nicely done Simon, another excellent entry from you. I'll be suprised if this isn't top 3.

From: Simon Fallon (d70Manta) @ 124.171.219.21 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 11:01:44 PM PDT)
Thank you Chris and Craig. Emily will be pleased: the stiff neck was worth it..!

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:16:01 AM PDT)
High key works wonderfully and fits the title really well. Well done Simon.

Ken - I wasn't too sure how to take this shot, but I didn't know the song so perhaps knowing it may of shed a little light on your intepretation.

From: Ken (d50jammy2) @ 202.7.190.131 (Tue 07 Aug 2007 04:28:59 AM PDT)
Probably a stretch but the view was meant to symbolise looking down a rabbit warren, hence the title of the song =)

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
From: bt*ist (istDSbtist) @ 203.14.180.97 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 03:37:19 PM PDT)
Love the high contrast/saturation treatment - and an excellent choice of song!

From: Alpha_7 (d70Alpha7) @ 202.92.87.242 (Thu 02 Aug 2007 10:05:23 PM PDT)
Love that you got down nice and low to take the shot, the perspective makes this a much more powerful shot.

From: Steve Kilburn (d70killakoala) @ 59.167.232.74 (Fri 03 Aug 2007 01:18:16 AM PDT)
The symmetry works really well, with the two main elements, the stairway and the cross being harmonious and focussed by the leading lines of the railings.
